Big Tree Hospitality

This Portland-based restaurant group is hell-bent on excellence in hospitality with an abiding commitment to community. Driven by relentless creativity and inspired by the bounty of New England, the James Beard Award-winning team offers one-of-a-kind dining experiences and a generosity of spirit that benefits Maine children through the far reaches of Maine.

Under the leadership of (pictured above from left to right) Mike Wiley (Chef|Owner), Andrew Taylor (Chef|Owner), and Arlin Smith (Owner|General Manager), Big Tree Hospitality Group has been a culinary cornerstone of Full Plates work to end child hunger in Maine – since our inception. Frequently headlining our fundraising events, they are also founding partners of our FEED KIDS cause marketing initiative with their restaurants Eventide Oyster Company and The Honey Paw.

“Through FEED KIDS and Full Plates Full Potential every dollar we raise is worth more, because they work to both provide food and change the system to open doors to better access in the future.

We see real results with the FEED KIDS program. It offers us an effective structure for helping raise awareness and funds, and it has become an important way for our restaurants to give back to the community.”

– Arlin Smith, GM / Owner, Big Tree Hospitality

Big Tree Hospitality cares deeply for the health and well-being of Maine’s youth – Maine’s future. They leverage their brand in big ways and every day ways to fund our work and connect their guests with our cause. Maine children are lucky to have Arlin, MIke, Andrew – the whole Big Tree team in their corner.
