Investment Opportunities
John T. Woods Innovation Fund
In honor of our late co-founder, the JTW Innovation Fund is fostering big ideas to drive innovation. Sponsors of this program will have the opportunity to participate in the grant process.
Public Awareness
Our public awareness efforts involve helping to ensure the general public, especially families struggling with food insecurity, are aware of the resources available to them and how policy changes will affect them. Accessing school nutrition programs and other resources unfortunately can be over-complicated and we aim to simplify things through efforts like our public information page www.feedkids.me. Sponsors will be clearly identified on this page and in other public awareness efforts.
School Breakfast Grant Program
This grant program supports schools with implementing best practices in the School Breakfast Program. Grants typically range from $500-$5,000 and go towards the purchase of needed equipment, staff training, student outreach, or other needs related to the adoption of best practices. Sponsors of this program will be clearly identified in all grant related materials and have the opportunity to participate in the grant process.
Summer Meals Grant Program
This grant program supports schools and community organizations during the critical summer months (when child hunger is at its highest) with implementing best practices in the Summer Food Service Program. Grants typically range from $500-$10,000 and go towards the purchase of needed equipment, staff training, the opening of additional sites, or other initiatives aimed at feeding more kids. Sponsors of this program will be clearly identified in all grant-related materials.
