JMG Partnership Grant

Created and funded through our partnership with JMG, this grant funds student-led solutions that address unique causes of food insecurity in Maine schools. Grant recipients are JMG student teams who have researched and identified barriers to accessing school meals and are ready to work toward solutions.

School Breakfast Grant Program

Helping students start the day off right, the School Breakfast Grant provides funding to those looking to increase the number of students participating in the School Breakfast Program. This grant prioritizes Breakfast After the Bell models that make breakfast a convenient and accessible choice.

Oakhurst Afterschool Meals Grant Program

Our Afterschool Meals Grant supports Maine schools in providing kids with after-school meals and snacks, making sure that lunch isn’t the last meal of the day. In 2020, we partnered with Oakhurst to expand this grant to better support CACFP At-Risk afterschool meal programs and help sustain their infrastructure over time.

Summer Meals Grant Program

There are many unique challenges to accessing meals when school is not in session. Our Summer Meals Grant supports Summer Food Service Program sponsors in implementing innovative and effective ways of providing meals to kids during the summer months.

COVID-Relief Emergency Funds

To ensure that every child in Maine could continue to access meals throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched our Emergency Funds in March of 2020. These funds supported schools and organizations in adapting to the challenging circumstances and continuing to connect kids with food.
