Full Plates’ Emergency Kitchen Equipment Grant provides funding to Child Nutrition Program operators who have an urgent and critical kitchen equipment need. This grant is only for emergency situations. Non-emergency general equipment funding should be requested through the DOE’s Equipment Assistance Grant. Full Plates also has grant opportunities for non-emergency requests that aim to increase participation in breakfast, afterschool, and summer programs.
Eligibility
- Grants available to Maine school districts and organizations operating federal Child Nutrition Programs
- Only one application per school administration unit or organization per school year. Summer months are grouped with the previous school year.
- Priority will be given to those who have not received an Emergency Equipment Grant before

Timeline
This grant is open year-round and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect a response from Full Plates staff within 1 week of submitting their application.
