Grant Description

Due to high demand and limited funds, we are no longer accepting applications for this grant.

Full Plates’ Emergency Kitchen Equipment Grant provides funding to Child Nutrition Program operators who have an urgent and critical kitchen equipment need. This grant is only for emergency situations. Non-emergency general equipment funding should be requested through the DOE’s Equipment Assistance Grant. Full Plates also has grant opportunities for non-emergency requests that aim to increase participation in breakfast, afterschool, and summer programs.

Eligibility

  • Grants available to Maine school districts and organizations operating federal Child Nutrition Programs
  • Only one application per school administration unit or organization per school year. Summer months are grouped with the previous school year.
  • Priority will be given to those who have not received an Emergency Equipment Grant before

Timeline

This grant is open year-round and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect a response from Full Plates staff within 1 week of submitting their application.
